Configure the retention of your data

In this article
A savoir

For each process in Iterop you can indicate how long you want your data to be kept. (A feature implemented as part of the DMPP)

There are 4 levels of data:

  1. Files : The set of files involved in your process
  2. All data: The set of variables that have not been configured as key process data (the output of your process)
  3. Key process data: The set of process variables, whether files, key data or other data
  4. Process : The set of data concerning this instance, gathering all the variables as well as the executions of the tasks and the process.

EXAMPLE

For example, if you select a data retention month for variables in a process, this means that variables in processes that have been completed for more than one month will be deleted. Uncompleted process data is never deleted.

Attention

A hierarchy exists between these four levels. Indeed, if you set the retention of your processes to one month, you will not be able to set the retention of your variables to a value greater than one month. Similarly, if you decide to delete all of your variables after three months, you cannot decide to keep your non-key variables any longer.

Setting storage times

  1. To set these different retention times, you must go to Iterop Design in the tab “Deployments“.
  2. Select a process
  3. In the right-hand window, you will see an insert Managing data retention time
  4. Click on the button “Edit” a window will open allowing you to configure your data retention for this process
  5. In this window, you can then define the shelf life for each of the 4 categories explained above.
Important

Once your processes are completed beyond the selected time, the data concerned is then permanently deleted and there will be no way to recover it.
